She had tried to chew her way out of the kennel due to separation anxiety. I was horrified when I picked up my dog to find she had blood on her muzzle fresh and dried, scabs on the nose and a deep gash on the top of her nose just below her eyes, she also had bleeding gums and blood on her hair on her front paws. The manager said she gave her belly rubs, can you believe it? I guess that was her solution to the problem! These people have no business running a kennel. My beautiful Marama sheepdog has scars on her nose and her chewing is compromised, she is such a gentle girl it breaks my heart to think she was left to hurt herself. I think kids are left in charge at sidekick.

She asked me if i wanted to help pay for her kennel! She did not handle the situation correctly and wasnt even willing to help with my bill. The owner was out of town when I called and only called a week after my dogs surgery. She should have kept a close eye on her and taken her to my vet and left her there so she could be monitored close, they also have boarding areas where dogs cant bite thru. The owner refused to do anything only said she was sorry my dog injured herself. 600 dollar vet bill and 800 dollar boarding bill. The next week she had surgury to remove two teeth that were broken off. I watched her the next week and she wasnt acting like she felt good, I took her to my vet in Ozark and they looked in her mouth and said they needed xrays. I took her home and cleaned her nose with cool water just to get the blood off. The manager who works there told me she reinjured herself and that I needed to keep an eye on her gums. She had blood fresh and dried blood on her muzzel and front paws and her gums were bleeding, she had a large gash across her nose and scabs on her nose. She had separation anxiety while I was away. I was horrified to pick up my dog after two weeks in London for my daughters wedding. Amanda also emailed over videos of him getting to really play with another pup nearly his size and it made me such a happy dog mama to watch them. Even if we drive WAY out of our way to bring him here, it is absolutely worth it. That may not sound like much, but it made me feel so happy and confident in our decision to choose sidekick. The last time I dropped him off for daycare he was immediately wagging his tail and happily walked in with the sweet staff member who came out to collect him.

We have boarded him at other places many times over the last couple of years but they have not taken the time to work with him one on one and introduce him safely to friends like Sidekick has. And doing daycare has been a great way to build his confidence and introduce him to proper play with other dogs (remember, he is in reactive dog training for a reason). Amanda has been extremely helpful with the trainings. We have been so happy with our decision to use sidekick. We have used sidekick for their Reactive Dog Training classes and also started taking our dog Ben to doggie daycare 1 day a week.
